Lamp Post Necklace

Good morning, woke up with a little soar throat but it's okay, it has to be okay really. I have too much to do, to be sick. My house needs cleaned, orders to get out including a wholesale order to send to the UK. So it you happen to be in Wrexham, visit Michelle Nazar here, http://www.colouredearth.co.uk.

I took this lamp post photograph a year ago, while walking through my neighborhood on a rainy March morning. My boyfriend was sweetly holding the umbrella over my head while I stopped for the 100th time to take yet...another picture of a bird. It was featured this month on Etsy's blog here, http://www.etsy.com/storque/spotlight/etsy-finds-lost-in-translation-6965

I'll be in Spring 2010 Stringing Magazine

I was so happy that Molly Schaller Designs decided to use one of my pendants to bead into a beautiful necklace and submit it to Stringing Magazine. I don't have the issue yet, apparently they're in the process of getting them to Michael's and ACMoore and various other crafting stores but I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival...might just have to order one on line.

Thank you Molly!

I'm back....

Posted by Picasa

Hello all. I've been away for a while but I'm going to really try and keep my blog updated, especially since I've been feeling the creative vibe again...about time. Today was a nice break in the weather and I was not going to let it go to waste. I put on my jogging stuff, grabbed my camera and I was off to a nearby lake. Went for a nice light jog, grabbed my camera from my car and did a lap trying to snap a few shots for some new designs and of course...more birds.

Meet Sasha Ceramics

Sasha Bakaric ordered one of my necklace off my Etsy site and we began emailing, she's an accomplished potter and teaches at the Durham Art Council, She is also a member of two guilds, Clayworks Potters Guild in Durham and Triangle Potters guild in Raleigh and her work can be found in galleries in the US and UK. In her own words, "I hope to continue to grow and to reach more people with my pieces. I want them to smile and feel good when they see and touch my pieces. I want them to feel the connection." I'm certainly feeling the connection, especially since we share a love for trees! I just took a pottery class at Claymakers, and let me tell you, it's not as easy as some make it look. I have a great deal of appreciation for the medium. Thank you Sasha, for letting me feature your art here! You can see more of Sasha's work on her website www.SashaCeramics.com.
